Welcome to Femme

 

Femme stands for Female Empowerment Meetup Collective, and is facilitated by two young woman who are tenants of the Regent Park Community. Both are passionate about creative writing, photography, inspiring and connecting with others. 

The program involves the contribution of 10 young women ages 14-17, whom meet weekly to communally learn and work towards displaying their interest of working together through the production of a quarterly magazine. 

Together, the young woman in our program will reflect on and share their thoughts and experiences through this blog which include real stories, real words, and real experiences from girls. 

Ladies will focus on.. 

1. communication

2. engaging in various workshops 

3. practice creative writing and journalism reporting 

4. go on fun trips and make new friends

The young woman of Femme continue to learn from, find inspiration in one another, the stories each carries, and the words they share. Femme hopes whoever may find them will also feel such.
